Yesterday we headed off to the Newseum. The Newseum was fascinating. We were able to look at “today’s newspapers” from all over. It was fun to see the headliners in other cities and countries. The 9/11 section was very powerful. There was a wall of newspapers with the headlines about the attacks. There was also part of one of the buildings and a movie of journalists who were at the scene and what they had documented. Another interesting section was the “Presidential dogs”. There were pictures of the Presidents with their pets.
I also had the opportunity to visit my cousin who lives in Northern Virginia. I don’t see him very often so it was nice to have a chance to catch up. He also introduced me to Thai food, which was a new experience.
